Sisterhood: The Redemption

Written by Nefertiti N.

This is the final installment of a trilogy of short poems that began with Sisterhood: The Love, then Sisterhood: The Pain, and now Sisterhood: The Redemption.

The cathartic release of pain
Our sisterhood stands to gain
Invisible tears run down our faces
Our vulnerability a sign of strength
A desire for true sisterhood
A mutual recognition
Of a need to connect
Our words…a cocoon
Of honesty and love
Of struggle and pain
And our sisterhood remains.

I love how this comes full circle - the scene is set with love, and then dips into the valley with the pain, only to rise mountain high with a redemption. I say YES to the trilogy.

Good stuff.

I feel the emotions in your words Nefertiti... Nothing compares to the ability to reach beyond the breaks of life and having an understanding, trusting & loving hand there to help pull you through. Great!

Love this! Moving on, getting past the pain, redeeming love. That's always a true testiment to any type relationship when you can move passed the bullshit and make it work.

What talent Nefertiti!
